Tupper Saussy died last week.
I'd only recently added a link to his blog
http://honestthings.blogspot.com/
His thoughts on Chinese shipping containers is interesting reading.
In fact, everything he's ever written is interesting reading.
The world has lost a spectacular talent.
A cultured, elegant, ferocious warrior.
I have lost a friend.
Please do a Google search for Tupper Saussy.
Read his books. Visit his website and the greatest pleasure of all, listen to his music. His new CD, released the week he died, The Chocolate Orchid Piano Bar, is the most charming and commercial release ever.
His earlier recordings are heady jazz. My husband was the bassist on Tupper's early releases and was also co-owner of the record label, Monument.
Rhino recently put out a compilation of select cuts that is a 'must have."
Enjoy yourselves. Life is short.

Thank you, Anonymous, for taking time to respond.
Your input is welcomed
even if you are an antagonistic,
chicken $#!+.
Perhaps, in my grief, I whined a bit but I don’t play "victim" for long.
I NEVER sought pity.
Yes, some expressed compassion would have been nice but I realize, for the most part, it Died on the Cross.
This Blog began when my family & I were in
dire need of outside support. Self-absorbed concerns alone
could never have fueled the outrage expressed in my initial blog.
This Blog was created in an effort to network with Franklin’s
Sisters/ brothers/ others who will face similar circumstances in their own back yards in the near future. My arms are open to all. If my blog might provide public visibility for you, I'm blessed for the opportunity to provide the vehicle by which your voice may be heard.
I was/am inexperienced in the ways of local politics, war, rallying neighbors, gutting cattle, building bridges, etc. I'm (until recently) a simple, sheltered, housewife.
In establishing this blog, I sought intelligent, experienced, guidance by locals. The assumption being: Other locals, who may have recently encountered similar "Rail - Roading" tactics, would share their experiences in this public forum.
Rather than parading your ass in a condescending tone,
if you (Anonymous) have intelligent, experienced, guidance to offer, please do so. A.S.A.P. and don't be brief. Tell us the one, two three!
Sincerely~
